Life’s Twists and Turns

Commitments and dreams youth hold
Often fade as life does unfold
Believers, convinced God’s in control
Know heaven’s His goal for our soul

What God promises, He sees through
The persistent find dreams do come true
Most important, along life’s way
Is holding and growing our faith

God’s unconditional love, we learn
Welcomes each way-ward’s U-turn
With open arms and a loving heart
He forgives, and we make a fresh start.

It isn’t God who turns His back
When our life goes out of whack
But we, who cover our own eyes
In sin, we know He does despise.

Thinking He’s given up on us
Is merely our own lack of trust
When God seemed very far away
‘Twas because we didn’t pray.

Life is full of twists and turns
Great rewards and deep concerns
When we falter and lose our way
He’s still there, we just lack faith.
