I have read many poems honoring Mother Mary and her relationship with her child, so I thought today as a bit of personal challenge that I would write a poem about Joseph’s perspective and relationship to his promised miracle. The Promised It came upon a dream one night so flown on angel’s wing that first when Joseph saw the light his soul began to sing for unto him was sworn that day a child in Bethlehem that even where in bed he lay was peace so given them to join as one to conjugate and take their time to build a friendship that would acclimate ‘til grace had been fulfilled in eyes of many witnesses in eyes from poor to kings in eyes of all who claimed of his their joyful hearts do sing and so it was that love released a vessel to indwell the Mighty God! the Prince of Peace! Our King! Immanuel! Merry Christmas, Lighthouse Bob |

Thank you so much for taking that perspective, and I have of course sent this to my daughter-in-love's relatives as they are going to simply love it! Merry Christmas Bob, and thank you for reappearing, you truly were missed. |

Mysteria, It's really really nice to be back. I do hope that your family enjoys this poem. I was reading about the birth of Christ in the Bible when I noted, with a little nudging from the angel of the Lord, that Joseph was actually the one to name the baby Jesus and also that he was a man who showed much dignity toward his wife Mary. Anyway, I think if a great priviledge to write from Joseph's perspective. Thanks again. -Bob |

Joyce, What a very nice compliment and I am very happy that you've been reading my poetry since I've returned and were reading my poetry even before I left. Thinking about what you wrote here, perhaps, all of these "marvelous" poems are simply a byproduct of me being gone for so long and all these words being bottled up inside me. Could be??? Maybe??? Thanks again for reading and as always for your kind and insightful responses. -Bob |

Bob...this is an absolutely beautiful reflection of the Christmas season. I too wrote a poem from Joseph's perspective several years ago titled "Just An Ordinary Man". Oh, how lovely is the Christmas season and what a wonderful time to express our thanks to He who gave His all. God Bless and Merry Christmas |

hoot_owl_rn, Also, God Bless and Merry Christmas to you and Thank You for your kind comments and yes it is a most wonderful time for Christian Inspiration as to express our Thanks and appreciation to Him as you have said. Thank you also for sharing your poem about Joseph. Of course, I had to find it and read it for myself. I loved the humanity and the emotion contained in your words. "Just an ordinary man was he, who knelt there that night on bended knee." Thanks again for sharing and again may you and yours have a most blessed and joyful Christmas Holidays. -Bob |

Dear Bob, how beautiful indeed. You have entered Joseph's heart with great sensitivity. I also find that this poem holds a great musical rhythm. Love, Margherita |

Margherita, Thank your for your kind compliment and thank you for noticing the musical quality of this poem. In this poem, I am trying to use iambic meter for example, but I do think about any poem written about Christmas and the birth of Christ inspires us to sing songs of Joy! Amen. Thanks again and God bless. -Bob |
