The Path Upon two paths so traveled hence The poet chose the path more dense But chosen still my own path since the reading of that poem And onward traveled I through wood In search of what was grand and good But never quite had understood the path which leads me home For in the undergrowth remained The hurts, the sorrows, guilts and pains That flowed throughout my human veins and left me feeling numb Beyond what human words might say Or even what my heart might pray At any time or given day what did my path become When I but paused my wayward course Without repentance or remorse For what had come to be my source of joyful recompense Now helps me stay the path I take And cheers me on each choice I make To know for sure without mistake that God’s the difference. God Bless, Lighthouse Bob |

And onward traveled I through wood In search of what was grand and good But never quite had understood the path which leads me home Beautiful and insightful. Ahh, to know that with every step we move closer, safely directed by Him, is just so overwhelming and uplifting. Thank you for your inspired words, dear Bob. Love, Margherita |

Margherita, Thank you once again for your kind response. I am so glad that you've repeated some of the lines of my poem back to me. To me it means that those particular lines had special meaning for you and touched you in a special way that is worth repeating... WOW!!! My path at times does get a bit dim and overgrown and hard to travel, but, as you have replied, our path is "safely directed by Him" and that does give me the strength to walk the path by faith and not only by sight. Amen. Thanks again and God bless. -Bob |

Marge, Thank you for your kind reponse. The last lines of my poem have special meaning to me as well. I wrote this poem in response to one of my favorite poems from youth, The Road Not Taken, written by Robert Frost. That particular ending has stayed with me for many many years. Thanks again for your kind words and especially those delightful huglets (Smiles) God bless. -Bob |

Necro Draconis, Thanks for taking the time to respond. It's nice to get feedback that some other folks find some "truth" in what I've written in that they perhaps are feeling or have felt in the past some of the same emotions that I'm feeling when I'm writing poetry. Thanks again. -Bob |
