A Place For Me

To let go sometimes is so hard to do
Even when you know it is the best thing for you
As I sit here thinking about these past few years
I think about the times he made me cry so many tears

It seems it would be so much easier for me to say good-bye
But, it does not seem to be that way, and I wonder why
The love he had given to me just did not seem to last
It seems like his love for me had so quickly passed

The love I felt for him back then, it was so true
But, it seems he always left me feeling too blue
Pain, I did not think went along with love
I did not think that loving him would be so tough

To find a place for me to stay I can not seem to find
Sometimes I feel so much fear, that I will run out of time
Then be thrown out into the street
With the cold winter wind to meet

I buy a paper everyday trying to find a place for me to stay
Only to find there is no place for me I am afraid to say
So I end up sitting in this house with so much worry
That I will never find a place for me
