I long to take a shovel's till-- I want to smell the earth. I long to plant a seed within-- I want to nurture birth. Marigolds can dance between-- tomatoes growing recklessly-- basil fills the air with glee (every time it rains...) I'll paint my toes so no one knows footsteps I have planted there. I crave the spindling pf plant-- tomatoes too ripe DO break skin-- (the insides beg for air...) Tell me that we can plant thyme? The rosemary has become hedge. Counting days on borrowed time-- I feel fear of half the ledge. I felt the rain as I dug ground the sun broke through the shroud-- in the rain I shoveled pain-- blessed beneath a weeping cloud of a simple circumstance-- perfect for tomatoes growth-- I planted seeds on muddied knees-- and then I whispered chant: "Earth be gentle for this fool." I raised my arms unto the sky. "Let the sky cry generous-- and may sun gentle-shine." I blessed that ground with my own sweat-- and gave her air of sigh. I patted mounds of burial-- I prayed I'd see the signs of life... [This message has been edited by serenity blaze (10-26-2002 07:03 AM).] |

(sigh) Oh Karen, such a spiritual depth fills these words, indeed life is like a harvest and we are the gardeners who determine our own farmers almanac and if we hold faith true we will always have a great balanced of sunshine growing the necessities in us all! (big hugggssss) This is marvelous, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karen, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Serenity, I patted mounds of burial-- I prayed I'd see the signs of life... That says it all, excellent. |
