Why am I here being forced to learn something for which I care nothing about? Why does it matter whether I'll pass or fail if I won't be using it after I graduate? Am I doomed to failure again when no matter how hard I try I cannot rise above? I don't think I can beat this! So I continue to die in this subject I hate so completely and so much more than anything I know. No wonder its called, "Foreign"! I cant' understand what the point of this is when none of it stays affixed in my brain but floods out as soon as I hear it. Why do I feel cheated out of the time that I have put into this with no reward and no motivation just stumbling on continuously waiting for escape thats taunting me again and again and laughs at the burden of my folly... -Jedi |

Jedi, I'm guessing you are there because it's education and it's compulsory. Good rave about something we all can relate to. BTTT Kethry Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

I like this poem. But didn't you post this poem 3 different times? Just wondering. Cold hands means a warm heart |

You have described our human condition of not being almighty very well. All of us are caged to varying degrees. Workers want to be out fishing instead. Boxers wish the punches wouldn't sting so much. Mothers wish kids would be born with a quiet button top their heads. But nothing we can do about it. That's just the point. Since we can do nothing about it why not try to enjoy or ignore? Not easy though is it? But this too will pass as they say. Enjoyed the poem! God bless! Thanks for sharing. |

For me it was physics! Mind you, I didn't get to the low point that you have gotten, but guess what!---I barrelled on through it and was thrilled that I made a respectable grade. First there was the agony and then there was ecstasy when the course was over and I had passed! Keep on trekking! You'll be glad you did! Earth Angel |
