wind rain wearing away layers of solid rock I remember a time before I turned to stone. I was young vibrant with energy. Invincible and happy. I remember the insults the ones that hardened me that turned my face to stone the ones that solidified me into this rock a statue. I remember the look I had upon my face the moment I froze. A look of pain, of hurt and betrayal. They laughed. Oh how they laughed to see my tears, but they were blind to the stone. I remember the years of stillness dwelling on the insults remembering my pain turning into rock the fixedness of my thoughts reflected in the immovability of my limbs. I remember when the look upon my face was clear before years of silent observation I unmoving, like my thoughts. I remember feeling my face wear away in the wind and the rain. My features smudged and soon disappeared. I hide within the rock never to emerge again. The rock is my prison and my heart’s sole protection. wind rain erosion I am a statue. I don't care if you're an old fart, because old people are smarter than me. |

I found this one in My Documents today when I was looking through my writing. I had forgotten about it, or thought it wasn't very good, but I like it right now. I think its a little long, but that's okay. Kielo I don't care if you're an old fart, because old people are smarter than me. |

Kielo. Enjoyed this piece. Quite sad... unemotional, yet emotional. Detached. I think you have something here; the meter falters a bit (if you were going for a certain flow). I like the beginning and ending, a lot, how you tie them intogether. I enjoyed it. Sincerely, Titus "A life unexamined is not worth living." |

The heaviness of a weight... truly, we only burden ourselves with, but may be lightened in finding peace within... well done, Sir... |

As I reflected on the messages imbedded in this piece, I saw the stoic heart...as experiences and life can harden and make impervious the very humanity that makes us... Well thought. ThisDiamond |
