Gentle wind Carrying leaves as passes, Rolling them Across the now brown grasses. In pause brief At the winery’s front door Shade beneath The old oak tree that does soar. Nearly gone Color faded to dull brown Autumn’s done It’s cloak is on the cool ground. Pouring wine The girl fills tall thin glasses And the time As the gentle wind passes. She invites To stay in the winery, It delights As she talks and drinks with me A short stay Lasts longer than ever thought, More than day Years of pleasure she has brought. Gloom |

I love the way you combined the beautiful colors of Autumn with this romantic love poem. Thanks for sharing. Love makes the world go 'round (unkown) |

A moment in time, so fondly remembered, as you have so beautifully illustrated with this poem. EA |
