Halloween . Witches cackle as they fly Saddled on broomsticks They ride across the sky Jack-o-lanterns carved from pumpkins, Set out on fenceposts and porches Seem to bring ill omens. Ghosts in cemeteries rise up and fly about Wisps of light in the darkness Glide inward, upward and out. Black cats arch their backs at the moon Hissing, spitting; growling The witching hour is coming soon Bats flit and flutter above ominously, menacingly; Striking no mortal heart with love. Beware the night, Grown-ups tell their children Evil lurks tonight just our of sight Children run from door to door Dressed as goblins, monsters, and witches Yelling trick or treat for more and more Halloween.........All Hallow's Eve! When ghosts reach out from the world beyond To touch the world of the living But only to those who choose to believe! . Enotneicna SLR Words are my medicine. |
