Chipmunk Power By Larry Chadwick Yes I volunteered your poetry! They are such perfect planners, Always thinking in advance. Worried about their future, Leaving nothing up to chance. Busy at the crack of dawn, Until the sun does set. Stashing for tomorrow, Banking their sure bet. It’s always worked before, And we hope it will again. But just in case more help will do, Let us PiPsters chip write in. Lyra needs our love, In extra special ways. Let’s offer our support, To fill these scary days. So if chipmunk treasures are hard to find, We’ll leave them laying all about. Just in case they’ll do some good, And leave no room for doubt. More poems for you are on their way, As hope and courage keep you strong. Our gentle way of telling you, With our love you can’t go wrong! So grab your pens and paper PiPsters, Let those cheery thoughts fly. I’m sure they’ll do her lots of good, If you’ll only try. October 19, 2002 If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. [This message has been edited by Larry C (10-20-2002 02:46 AM).] |

For days grow long in thoughts alone and we forget that beneath each stone an acorn was planted with tender care as great hopes were planted there for in the tiniest of such small seeds miracles abound for our own needs and a chipmunk in prayer stands in sun that hope will grow from this day on... |

Larry thank you for always having the heart to remind us to remember our dear friends when they need us the most. This is delightful and I am sure that Lyra will agree when I say this is a keeper. If I have touched one heart through my words, then I have acheived my dream... |

Thanks so much, Larry... You give me so much strength and I really need that right now. My muse and I have been busy doing research on cancer treatments and I have even talked my doctor into looking for a clinical trial on the cancer vaccine, for which I might be eligible... I told her that I would go anywhere in the world or that vaccine and so she is going to use her resources which are considerably more than mine, to help me search.... Now... I guess thats chipmunk power!!!!! ~ thanks so much for this poem and for the wonderful thoughts and prayers, Larry ~ big loving thank you hugs and chipmunk power Lyra |

Wonderful poem and wonderful sentiments! In response, I have written the following poem for our sweet Lyra, sweet Lyra. ~~ * ~~ You are the chippest Of all the munks You're full of spirits You're full of spunks Sending prayers And lots of light To banish these days So full of night No matter what Is thrown at you Your chutzpah self Will get you through Love, Linda |
