Loner ~ I don't dwell on the bad experiences, but hopefully I learn from them. So often I would get caught up in my own little world and my microcosmic view of it. I couldn't see the bigger picture! I now have a greater understanding of who I am and where I want to go in life. Guess what! I actually love myself! In fact, right this minute I am looking in a mirror hugging myself and saying, oh my gawd you're beautiful! hahahaha EA |

 (big hugggsssssss) Oh Linda, this touched my heart so deeply, sweet friend, I have had a past of severe depression and almost didn't make it but now I feel because of all the anguish I have understood compassion and the meaning of love and I truly think I am a good boy and want to share my love with all and dream of other than songwriting helping children with special needs and light their ways! (sigh) This is so deeply touching, sweet friend, God Bless You, you are a true angel, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing! Toe, remember that everything that has gone before has made you into the man you are today! So don't regret the past! If your life had not been played out the way it had, you wouldn't be you---and that would have been a pity! You have gained wisdom from having "been there, done that!" So, onward soldier! You may still have battles to be fought, that's just part of the human equation, but ye shall conquer with a good brave heart---and a lot of smarts! ~ May your battles be small and far apart! ~ Linda |

I know you're right gal...there are still nights when I'm feeling sorry for myself and those I've brought sorrow to, and it's not easy convincing myself that what I've done was necessary....whether it was an act of war or for some gal's well being...but it ain't easy yanno?....thanks for the words of encouragement.....you're an angel indeed... |

AS I always tell you, sweet Linda, I love your poem. You are a very wise lady. I also am glad that I have learned from a lot of my past mistakes. And also, if I hadn't been through some of the things I've been through, I wouldn't have the compassion that I have for other folks in similar situations. I have always wanted to help people instead of hinder them, and I think parts of my past have helped me to do this effectively.....even if it's just with a kind word. Marti ~ You're darn tootin'! Taking inventory can be extremely difficult! ---but it really does seem to help me put the now into perspective and there is a wealth of knowledge to be gleaned from the past. I just don't dwell on it! Whenever I think of things that are extremely difficult to face, I put on my rose colored glasses and they soften the view. tehe P.S.
