As the Earth Turns

I wait my notions of create
Much like the motion of the earth
To leap the plains delineate
And pass the pain that is its birth.

In the moisture of mornings dew
The offering of life to drink
I wait for crystal drops to view
To dip my pen and write its ink

And never has it failed me yet
Nor ever has it laid a bill.
And I am fully in its debt
Nor do I think it ever will

This nectar of my flowers word
Sends colors to the seeing Eye
It gathers in the field a herd
And often feeds upon a sigh.

As flowers lift their head to sun
So I will write till I am done.

Yes, Please, Sy, write it all
and invite us to your merry ball
of crystal chandaliers in light
that wane in dawn and leave the night

then take us through your every day
and leave us in your surf of say
then towards the eve bring us again
the magic of your ever-pen...

Your force of will with ink and quill bids us all to write
To share our woes and smite our foes with words that share our plight
So thanks to you  and all you do to give this face a grin
As on I moil in woeful toil setting rhymes that do me in.

Thanks for a fine story.  Ken

Some speak the rule that a poet tis but a wordy fool ...
their small minds lacking the cool to know thy pen is a tool.
They understand not the terse of conversing in verse ...
that we seek meter's coerce and rhyme is a invited curse.

They know not the bliss of a closing couplets cadenced kiss ...
and I'd be remiss if I didnt say ohhowIlovewhenyouwritelikethis!

Good afternoon, Mr. T.! Another brilliant write I see!

"As flowers lift
their head to sun"
I pray you'll write
'til thine days are done,
I'll read your words
I'll ahhh and ooo
I'll learn of life
Because of you!

I desired to read this poem because of the title. It somehow reminds me of a poetic soap opera if there is such a thing. Anyway, you write much better than I think. Thank you.
