You would have this one
beg for mercy when you know
the arrow long since
poisened your heart
and in time

some time

it will begin to wither again
with burn of  searing lonely.

Be still!!!

I would pull not or break
but push it through
that you might

enjoy

the anguish of knowing
both the entry

and exit

from one side

to the other

Lie still
or squirm
in hand firm

I will minister only
an oath,

not a wounded cry

Damn, Ron!

This is one that I certainly wish I had written.

I feel the shaft

Capt. Ron, your words are so excellent, that I don't even know what words to reply with. But, this happens quite often to me when I read your poetry. All I know is that your talent sure does show............

Ron

Ouch!  An emotional poem, yet stoic in its hold on the bitter bite.

Sending you a hug.
