Are words enough to tell you what I feel Sometimes I realize you are not real You're fantasy like in the dreams of sleep But you're embedded in my heart real deep You are the friend who knows of all my pain You are the one who keeps me rather sane And still I know you never will be seen By those who are surrounding me I mean You're living in my head all day and night And when I'm lonely you will hold me tight You will be there whenever I'm in need But...you're a dream, a fantasy indeed You've never let me down, as I recall Imaginary friends, we have them all Like scattered leaves...my words will flow |

(smiles) Awwwwwwwwww, I love this, sweet friend, I love making imaginary friends, like I have one who is a baby bluebird who always sits on my shoulder and speaks with happiness and sympathy! (giggles) This is so adorable, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Titia, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Thanks for your replies. I never had an imaginary friend, but I could imagine what it would be like if I had one. Sometimes they can be of great comfort I suppose. Titia Like scattered leaves...my words will flow |

Hi Titia, I loved reading your poem, as it has put me in deep thought. Imaginary friends can be nice. I had several...but mine were me. I mean they were not imaginary. It was a long hard journey to intergrate and know who I actually am, as I got lost in a sea of multiple personalities. Now I am me...the real me. On the hard days, but not often there are two that I give permission to come and stand with me. I must be cautious when I do this, for I will not allow myself to get lost agian. Therefore, one can only stand beside me, and I must always know I am out and I know who I am. For life is too beautiful not to know who one really is...I love the real me. I love them too though, for they were my protectors. Now, I can protect me on my own terms. Take care, and enjoy. Hugs, Coway |

Titia, dear heart! When we finally do manage to get together for our chit chat vis a vis, we can introduce our imaginary friends to each other and have a wonderful tea party together! ~ warm happy holiday hugs Linda |

This is such a sweet poem, Titia... I used to have an imaginary friend when I was a little girl.... and whenever my parents would find out that I got into some sort of mischief... I always blamed it on her and they thought it was so funny that they sometimes didn't even punish me for it. It was a very useful device and was probably the beginning of my poetry writing... This is the same friend that drew pictures on the walls and re-arranged my mother's pantry with all of the food in size places.... Thanks for the write ~ imaginary chipmunk hugs Lyra |
