Looking back with longing eyes to see that I will follow, Flecked with finest gold, lovelights shining, oh so warm, Lift me up in your love as a light wind lifts a swallow, Let our flight be far in sun ,fair or blowing storm. Hold me upon your heart as the brave sea holds the foam, Kiss my lips so tenderly with whisper’d promise more Take me far away to the hills that hide your home: Sit me by your fireside, my love, now latch the door Your words with passion poetry, sweetly beckoned me, Upon your wings of love ,I, like the dove,fly free.
