A convoluted mess
comfortably rests
inside a grayed dome
atop gentle slopes.
Once ridged peaks
hovering flat
valleys below,
perhaps
still worth
the visit.

Mountains rise in youth
soften in their time
shed their craggy edges
to a mellower clime
warm
and partly hidden
to such lushness
I am bidden

Hehe, I had fun with this write. Thank everyone for reading and commenting.
And Karilea? You no doubt caught the 'hidden' meaning correctly. LOL, sometimes subtle, sometimes not.

Are stories and lore of our lives, still worth the visit, even though they have grayed around the edges, even though the binding is not as splendid as it once was?  Ah, but for me, I prefer a leather-worn book.   It means it has been read over and over and was interesting.  It's an older book in pristine shape i don't trust  (wink)  Great stuff, Kacy.
