I Only Need Wait the whispers of morning waken the cotton in my eyes the scent of heavy fog hangs upon the air and moistens the shoulders of creatures out there a semblance of trees hovers nearby while soundless stirrings are kept behind a misty curtain trapped in droplets drowned from ear’s detection the visible movements are as silent as cat’s paws upon pavement echoed only in shadows reverberating in silhouettes marching noiselessly in rhythmic stitches across the landscape if it were not for the hum of mechanisms at hand, I might think deafness had played its trump card and stolen my sense away, but I know I only need wait patiently for the morning to lift its head and burn away the night’s coating, bringing with it a clarity that reaches all my senses I only need wait ©December 12, 2002 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

I only hope that you don't have to wait as long as I sometimes do, to have my senses cleared! haha I really enjoyed this piece. I was visualizing and internalizing your words as I read them! ~ From this poem, I'd say, you most definitely have clarity of thought! EA |
