MY MOTHER by Ethel (written on 5/12/85) God has given me a Mother, who is a blessing from above In our lives we have others, but none give that special kind of love I thank God for a Mother who is pretty and clean Even when I was a little child, she never wanted to be mean My Mother taught me the benefits we have if we will pray And that no matter how busy we are we should have prayer many times a day To talk to God is a wonderful privilege, she says And an answer to all of life's problems, He always has So I thank You, God, for a wonderful Mother Who, except for You, God, has love for me, greater than any other |

Ethel, Such a smart mother you have. She raised a precious daughter! Great write.  If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

Hi, sweet Linda. Yes, my Mom loved this then and now. She has a copy of it in a frame on the wall right next to the one I wrote for my Dad for Father's Day that year.
