Darn It Ok, so there you have it, a darn it kind of day. Some folks attribute it to Mondays, but it’s Wednesday, and ruminations, more like ruinations, are coming closer for unattributable reasons, but there you are, anyway giving me a darn it kind of day. Ok, so perhaps silly commercials of fabrick’d lives add to the weave and woof of living, although I finally learned who the dog was and let you out. But like an old sweater with a hole here and there where the moths enjoyed a late meal… if I just darn it, and slip it on perhaps I can grow warm again in the what was, and the what could have beens, if I live through this darn it kind of day. Does it help that I do not dislike you any longer, darn it, though the void is there, and I’m missing years gone nine, darn it, standing here on the cusp of us, just like you did, on that sign that could have made you mine or not, darn it, wondering if you are all right, for even though the love lay in your one night of Hope, as you said that was her name, darn it, I trust, for some reason, darn it, that you are all right, and have realized some semblance of found, because you never were good, lost. Darn it. Now, the sweater does not look all that well for the mending of bending time, and believe me, I’m not clinging to the ringing of the few celebrations nor reverberations of the singing that we did… darn it… but it’s the season, and I guess for silly reasons, far beyond the darn of it… I still wish you well… and that you find your sweaters warm. ok... this is a most interesting piece here. i began with a laugh, but as it progressed, and i sensed the implied seriousness of emotion, i was torn between an amused smile at the small puns and a slight frown at the realization that this spans much further than a few jokes and a frustrating morning. that dichotomy made this, indeed, one of my favorite Soleil pieces. thanks. ![]() |

Soleil Some things get more comfortable, others just fall apart. You put this together well, with wit of heart and a touch of acceptance. Very much enjoyed! |

Christopher, thank you. Always was told I was good for a laugh, if nothing else. Glad this held your attention...as your writing always does for me. Cpat, it's rare that you let someone else talk for you, but in this instant, I don't mind. Thank you for the eyes. Martie, yes. But then, you know. We'll have to duet again soon. |

An excellent exercise, reminding one of the variety of language. Thank you. What light through yon window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun. |

Yes, MR, if we sometimes just turn a word on edge, and lean into it, we find a whole other world. Thank you for the eyes. |

Ever seen a darned sweater that look better for the work? Just wondering. This is sad, very, very sad, good but still sad. |
