somebody's dungeon

0 posted 2002-12-09 06:09 PM

I'm waiting for the fall of eve
the darkness, full and thick
upon the surroundings, peaceful,
quiet, in the absence of you.

I wait for the dense air of night
black of all that is
the remove of noise, to miss,
you, in the mid of thought.

You my love, who touched...
who left me with a kiss, on
lips, heat on fingertips,
my passion now alive...

missing you, and I
am awash with the
warm of Christmas
yet undone in the lack of you.

I like this... the tone and feel is somber yet in a way hopeful...
may they always only be temporary absences..that do indeed make the heart grow fonder...

I have been missing you and your poetry! Meanwhile, it appears you have been doing some missing of your own!--which you have expressed so poignantly--and well!

~ Sending you lots of pink loving light and angel hugs

I too, miss your poetry. This is great, though feels sad. Absence is very hard some times. Hope soon, you'll be together.

Thank you Ron for reading and responding.

Linda, I've been busy with the hubby home. It's so nice to be missed.

Pat, thanks so much. As I said, it is nice to be missed. You are too kind.

Anne this is a beautiful poem, but kind of sad, with the ache of missing someone you love. I know the feeling very well.
By the way, I've been missing your words here at PIP. glad to see them again...

You wrote this with such a caring tone. Could feel your pain, but with such a soft
voice that it leaves you hopeful.

Nicely done!

Ethel, Thanks so much dear friend. I've been so busy with the hubby home. Now that he's gone again, I'd give anything to be too busy to be here. If ya know what I mean
