Way of the Salty Stream

shredded tears,
rent heart,
where does the grieving
stop and start?

rainfalls
from a riven sky
mournful calls
pain-filled sigh

how can there be rhyme
in the universe
a balanced rhythm
is surely curse

when two lives
have been ripped from earth
one in a peaceful going,
age and alzheimers,
one stolen
in violent car crash
a babe of twenty-one

which way do her tears flow?
linked by birth
and love
the other
merely love

which way
will the salty stream flow
how will each know
her prayers
her shared agony

her heart rent
but her body
whole
with only one way to go

care for them all,
sweet Lord,
give them Your peace
that passes all understanding

Prayer request:

My daughter, Debbie, received a call at midnight last night and her very best friend's oldest son was killed in a car accident, he had just turned 21. Then at a little after 2 a.m., Debbie's dad called with the news that her grandma had died. They, my daughter, her dad and his wife, are traveling to Salem from the Seattle area at this moment. The prayer request is for safety and comfort of all concerned. I know my daughter wishes so much she
could be in two places at once, with her dad and by her friend's side. Her grandfather died just two months ago.

I would like prayer for me, as well, for peace that God is with them all and protecting them.

Virginia

Sometimes life packs a whollop and you wonder why.  I'm so sorry for this double loss for your daughter and for you.  I send my thoughts and prayers to you all for peace and understanding.

Yes, Virginia, you have my prayers, that God and his angels be with your daughter, and the souls of those that have passed on.

Peace be with them all.

Virginia,

So hard to watch our children suffer. Prayers for ~you~ for extra strength and wisdom as you nurture your daughter through her losses.

Additionally, may God sooth all shocked and  grieving hearts involved with His tender love and care, and provide a blanket of protection of safe keeping.

Hugs and love, Pat

Virginia, life can be so cruel and unkind at times. Please know I am holding them all in prayer.

Hugs to you, Marti
