I miss the spirit of the city dances in times past.

I miss the joy and wonder..
We all thought that it would last..

I miss the glowsticks, bracelets, backpacks, whistles and the stickers..

Back in the holy day when all of us were two-step kickers..

I miss the days when you could GO and see all of the happy eyes!

And make out with a total stranger until the warm sunrise!

I miss the "revolution" we all thought would come to pass.

Again, my friends, the corporates beat us..

bastards. kiss my ass.

Where have the ravers raved to?
Where has the spirit gone?
Where are the tears of happiness amid the hardcore song?

Whatever shall this whistlin', old two-steppin club kid go?

Alas! I found it once again.. in good old Toronto!

Retreated north, this spirit did, from the tired streets of Philly.

Hey, old pals I've never met, How are ya? What the dilly?

Is that a friendly smile I see? From someone I dont know?!

These love- starved eyes didn't see a thing as that since years ago!

Does hope remain, in this Earthly game?
Can we turn this thing around?
