Where is the angel I yearn? Where is the one I seek; Whose eyes sing the sweet tune? Where are the lips, whose love I kiss? Where is the one whose love is bliss? If she speaks she has no voice, Only the eyes, pervasively safe. If she sings, she has no song; Her words are piercing unto which I long. Her touch is reverent, her arms warm; Her embrace lifting, in her beauty and form. Until, however, I find her, the one I seek; My arms are cold, and my dreams are bleak. |
