Barnyard Dweller By Larry Chadwick To have humble beginnings, Isn’t all that bad. For those without them, I really feel quite sad. The roof was shaped like a barn, I was six when we moved in. It was a fun place, I’d live there again. If you drove by, And looked real good; You’d see outlines of a hayloft, In our home in that neighborhood. But then we moved again, And not that far away. “You live in an old chicken coop”, Is what I heard people say. I had to see for myself, So under the house I crawled. There on the walls all around, Feeding troughs…I was enthralled. So when I tell you, That I grew up on the farm. It isn’t exactly what you think, But neither is it a yarn. October 16, 2002 If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

(sigh) Oh Larry, I would rather live in a farm too (of course I would demand Internet access to see you and all my friends) than a city anyday because it is so much more peaceful and lively to me! (big hugggssssss) This is wonderful, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Larry, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Noah, It was a good way to grow up. Thanks. 'deer, He lived in the double deck outhouse out back! And thanks. Sue, Thank you friend. Ethel, Actually Uncle Bob ran a farm just down the road. But we lived in a converted barn and then a converted chickn house. Go figure. And thanks. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

ROTFL, glad to get a chance to peck at this one, I missed it the first time! BTW, why did that chicken ever cross the road when he had such a nice poopercooper? |

ROFL @ Bal... and I thought the title referred to HIM! LOL I like this very much, Larry. *S* When my parents first bought the land that would be my home, they lived in and under a barn... the bed was underneath the raised structure. *G* And they were proud to have it... 'cept for one night when an overnight guest with a bladder problem made it a tad damp for those trying to sleep in the "bedroom." LOL |

Vicky, Thanks for resurrecting this. It was a wonderful childhood. I wouldn't trade if for anything. Thanks. Connel, Thanks and it's good to see you here at Passions. Kacy, Because...she was an idiot! But not you, you're the smartest chick I know! Lyra, Thank you. It was indeed a simple life. But lovely. suthern, LOL Well now that is barnyard livin'! Too funny. And thanks for dropping in. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
