ps: read it fast out loud. everything has a meaning. ------------------------------------------- Fur flying, claws flailing in a frantic dance desiring Capture of elusive object, running across, skipping over a Forest of singly spun cotton thread bare skin licking lips as She eyes her prize, illusory gain of substantial emptiness; Pouncing now she has her dish served cold but the gift is warm and Shallow water's transparence unwelcome as her gaze catches his Uncaring eyes. -majnu [This message has been edited by majnu (10-16-2002 06:04 PM).] |

Majnu Rose?) - I read it three times thru, and each time it revealed more. I like it a lot. I may have missd your intent, but it spoke to me of somebody who pursued something that wasn't worth the catch, as she realized once she'd made the commitment. Some prizes aren't worth catching, are they? You have a beautiful way of describing that (even if it wasn't what you meant). BTW - I had to read it slow to get all that. Slow reader: slow mind. It's not a gift - lol. [This message has been edited by LngJhnAg (10-17-2002 10:24 AM).] |

LngJhnAng, yes that is one of three facets which I had in mind when I wrote it. the poem is really a juxtaposition of the three to show how similar they are, and (hopefully) provide some insight. |
