This is the first poem I ever wrote about 3 months ago when I came out of being depressed & basically I found a way to be happy & I've been euphoric ever since.....

I now understand myself, its clear as day
I cared too much, I worried too much
And for all the worth it was in vain
The tears still well in my eyes
I realise the pattern of my fall
I know how stupid it seems, and it feels
Believe me, I understand
It doesn’t make any exception
And I know I wasted
I know I challenged
And I know I caused grief
If not to the world, to myself

The smile my heart makes for itself
It’s an emotion rather than a mood
My exterior is surrounded
I’m not isolated
The feelings of others are not wasted
Every second of smile is recorded
For a moment of dismay
There will be a memory of a smile
And a world of joy to enter
No consent needed
Because it belongs to you

Your soul will not feel torn
The wind and rain will cease
You can always look for a tear
It can often be found
Usually this will not cause any good
Instead of searching for this
Long for a smile and then you cannot lose
Because whatever intense emotions you feel
You will always have your surrender
And if you will your strength
You can carry your own through
Until the peace of tomorrow
Will dream it all away

Cry out the pains
But when the tears stream away
What if left is not damaged
Only momentarily faltered
And you can’t dwell
But reminisce of this
And you will gain
The harmony of memory
The serene of another way

Never feel left
Whatever the sin
Nothing will stop
Surround yourself in love
Give in return
False won’t favour
Exit won’t solve
So keep the memory
And share many more
Of a story, a soul, a picture, a smile.

Hello Rosie

I too have suffered depression and have written many poems about my experience.  Your words spoke volumes and I'm so glad you found your way out of the dark deep hole of depression.  It is something you will never forget but learn to live with.  I'll look forward to reading more of your work.

Take care.......Sue

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Rosie, I know just how you feel, I used to suffer severe depression myself and almost committed suicide when I was 12 years old, but somehow I feel God pushed me back and now I embrace His love and always study the meaning of His illustrious word! (sigh) You are a truly blessed friend to us all, sweet friend, we wish you great comfort and joy forever, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Rosie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Glad to see you climbing upwards and outwards. Climbing away from yourself has a way of helping you survive the roughest times.
