I found myself lying on flat meadow land
soaking in the minerals my body yearned.
The song "spill the wine ..dig that girl" played
in my head as I felt myself drifting off.
Suddenly I awoke to the sound of thundering hoofs.
I set up quickly to my knees and could see a flash of
light streaming down the mountain.
I slowly stood to my feet as I saw the images
moving closer to me.
Sheltering my eyes I could see it was a pack of white horses
running swiftly and gracefully until they were standing within
my arms reach.
I was careful not to move...not to impose on such purity of
their magical energy.
The leader stood bold his piercing blue eyes staring
into mine. Each of their muscles were toned and defined
their manes glistened in the sunset.
He nodded at me as if to let me know the paths I had chosen
had been accepted, for he knew I had grown with every step.
Each day of my life traveled through me like a bolt of lightening.
The leader then stomped his hoof on the ground seven times, and
turned his head to the right.
Every horse circled back and started to run, as he reared
up on his hind legs sending a shower of tranquility through my
troubled soul.

They fled back to the mountain as I stared at them in awe,
and like a stream of sparkling water they took flight.
My spirit horses would return for me when my journey was finished.
I smiled for a moment in perfect peace.

Nicely done. But it should be a herd, not a pack of horses.
Guess you can rest quietly in the barn  while your spirit horses run free.

Thank you everyone for sharing the vision with me.  I wrote this a long time ago and just found it the other day.  I actually was told before that horses run in herds, but I don't like the way that sounds for some reason....not near as pretty. Maybe they are a cross between unicorns and horses and these animals actually do run in packs. *S*

Thanks again for reading
