Games

Games have lost their thrills impaled.
Especially those that I have failed
I carry too many bags of lack
That drag and weigh upon my back.

I still try ones that interest me
Those that brew a mental tea
Those that mist a slight of wine
Moisten on the tongue in dine.

Exotic to the way of sweep
Seep into the lay of deep
Hold onto the dragons flay
That’s the way I like to play.

I’ve yet to win the game of life
I’m still within the storm and strife
And thought I make the angels wail
I cannot get me out of jail.

But soon I’ll end this wail of I’m
Too soon I’ll be digested time.

I've read this several times today
and without words, still, I say
welcome my friend, come have tea
and sit in silence, here with me...

I like this poem a lot. We all have to game play whether we want to or not sometimes, but,  I believe when we finally 'realize' we are a loser in the game of life is when in reality, we are  ~a winner~ . Just like you

Thanking you for another great poem.
Warm regards, Pat

Mr. Seymour, yes this is a "game of life", and whether
we are winners in the end depends upon what our final choices will be.

Good morning, Mr. T.!

It is my fervent wish that you do not win the game of life for a very, very long time!---because one cannot win a game until the game is over!

But, in my books you have been winning a lot of innings!

Yep, mind tea...a great brew!

(big hugggsssssss) And I truly believe life is all about losing this big game until the end, for we are expected to encounter those echelons like in Parcheesi, trip as we do in Twister, and lose our luck in Solitaire, but if you keep your back row of hope stable, you are bound to win that scholars mate in the end, so have patience! (smiles) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is excellent, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Sy, perhaps the name of the game is simply "Understanding" which is self-reflective by title.  In any case, you play the game well from what I can tell in observing (and hearing) the daily score.
