Hypochondriac of the Heart By Larry Chadwick The price of being self-centered! When I pull a muscle, You can tell it by my limp; Hurting from the pain, Though I’m not a little wimp. But should you hurt my feelings, And my nose gets out of joint; In case you miss the clues, I’ll make sure you get the point. I’m a hypochondriac of the heart, And wear my feelings on my sleeve; In the hopes that all will notice, How I feel before they leave. In my effort to be understood, I drive everyone I love away; In a room filled with egg shells, No one seems to want to stay. Though a Doctor will not treat me, I pay a much higher price; I sacrifice the ones I love, Without ever thinking twice. In my haste to only think of me, I do to others the very thing I fear; Causing offense to their hearts, They'd rather be far away from here. November 29, 2002 If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. [This message has been edited by Larry C (11-30-2002 10:05 AM).] |

Larry, this is absolutely true. There are so many people just like this. What's so sad is that they usually don't even realize it. Thanks for sharing with us, kind sir. "Love makes the world go around" |

Larry, I don't think you are imagining this, maybe you have a real disease. Oh no! It's the dreaded go away/come back symptom that leads to in depth passion. Oh no! Oh no! Runnnnnn! Kethry Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

Great job Larry. This is a club that I am a member of. In fact I can think of a certain person in my life that I'd like to share this with if I may. You have definitely described me with this one. It is so hard to change a pattern that we aren't always aware we have until its too late. Good luck to you. And I wish you success and love in all of your relationships......in your life. |

Lisann, Bless your dear heart. Of course you can share. There is a cure for all conditions. Many are resolved simply by not making ourselves the focus of our mind. You are a courageous woman. Peace and hope to you. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

You're either describing someone else or exercising your imagination... for this certainly isn't you! LOL You've shown me nothing but understanding and forgiveness... no matter how clumsily I stormed and stomped! LOL I've been told I wear my feelings on my sleeve... and that was perhaps intended as insult. *G* But they're not fragile, just so overwhelming they won't stay stuffed inside. *G* (I do, however, crack a few shells when I start swinging that baseball bat. LOL) I liked this very much, Larry!! |

Larry, a man after my own heart! My friends don't call me 'mouth' for nothing. Hugs to you and continue telling it like it is. Less stress and ulcers that way. Marti |
