My Friend Pippy I only realised yesterday whilst socialising alone That all of my friends have abandoned me, they wont even pick up the phone We arranged to meet up this evening and discuss the debates of the day But none of them seem to have bothered, so really what more can I say? It doesn’t make sense that they’d leave me, whatever then must I have done? Perhaps I said something offensive, I hope not it’s spoiled all the fun. I remember that Micky was crying, over girlfriends who show him no love And as Peter and Darren consoled him I drew him a fluorescent dove. Of course though there’s always young Pippy, my lovely imaginary friend Whose heads made of chocolate and peanuts with dollops of cheese at both ends. I never upset my friend Pippy, not even when worse for the wear So I’ll leave all my friends to their sulking coz Pippy and I just don’t care. |
