I had long thought love Lay dead, deep within me No longer vital Inert and unmoving I then spied my dove Circling the Sun Soaring, lazy loops In search of safe roost Through some trick of light Off sun-glimmered feather Or my own despondent Blind flights of fancy What, at first, I perceived As white winged salvation Purpled and blackened Into a vile, brooding visage With a keen taste for carrion |

Ed get out of my head! Or at least while you're in there leave some of your talent behind. Synchronicity rears its head a third time today as I throw away a poem of love & carrion. Humbled.. I truly think you're just a brilliant poet, though by now it sounds like @ss kissing. raph |

Raph, Don't throw them away!! At least keep em around for a bit, you never know when they will come back to you. As for the the @ss kissing? Save it for one that's deserving. There are some on this forum. Ed |

Well, as you probably could surmise from reading my pollyana writing, I especially loved the dove part! --and I can appreciate the brilliance of this write. EA [This message has been edited by Earth Angel (11-29-2002 09:05 AM).] |

Aren't we all carrion at one time or another? Excellent write. Thanks, from a pigeon. |
