This ancient alley urges eyes aloft sky so clear, a canvas for these symbols; Overhead a hungry urban hawk gains height, advantage, settling on the apex of a steeple, alites upon a crossbar, crucifix, driven to defile a dove, a pigeon. The Moon attempts to hide slipping like a coin into a sleeve, fails long before the slide a more than ample target which can't leave. In the wake of the computer coup this monarchy has fighters in the air, their vapor trails are sick geometry (Ansel Adams named "sky worms") they stream at angles swelling fearlessly, gloved and antiseptic hands of the video game pugnacious pilots nearly crossing two Z's. Der Homeland Security inoculates the Forces and police. We others, a pox on all our houses, no taxes our way are released nor concerns or objections. We'll wander till we cease. Winter's coming with its honest death. War is coming and they'll call it peace. "Happy people have no history" - French Proverb [This message has been edited by RSWells (11-26-2002 08:44 PM).] |

7AM thoughts can be enlightening and disturbing at the same time. Seem to be a clarity early morn or late late night to some things... you do weave the story well..and it is certainly a joy to read your words. |

Oddly, these things did occur this morning on the way to the bus......a hawk flew overhead directly to land on a cross on the next street....directing my notice upward where the moon was alone in the sky criss crossed with the warplanes lines....and I take it as an omen. This man means to have a war. |

I tend to agree... and am not sure in truth what course of action is wisest. We speak it seems as a nation from both sides of our face, ignoring one country accused of the same thing we condemn another for. There is a science to risk management and while we as people do not usually understand it, we do practice it every time we step off a street curb to cross the road. Cloud what one knows of the risks involved ( add fog for example to the street crossing) and we also have to factor in the lessened ability to judge what is and is not prudent. I am clear on only the fact we are preparing as you say for war... stories of national Guard units being re-assigned to allow active duty forces stateside to be redeployed elsewhere... increased overall activity in the military, etc. All are prudent... if we intend to go to war... and all are posturing if we are pressuring other countries. It is much like the cold war in some ways... blindman's bluff. As for Omens... I believe in those as well... and won't bore you with examples or beliefs... |

Richard Your imagery and adept mind with words, always makes your writing good. What, I wonder, would a moon of peace look like. I search the sky and I'm afraid. |

Go to this website about our fallen heroes; http://www.militarycity.com/valor/honor_march_2003.html Read the short Bios of the young men and women who have died in Iraq. You will find mainly two, sometimes coupled, reasons why they enlisted. One…….. Many enlisted right after 9/11 in an appreciated patriotic fervor to fight the terrorists who bombed us. Bushco perverted their honorable intent by ignoring Bin Laden and sending them to WMDless, Al Quidaless, Bin Ladenless and sanction neutered but Oil rich Iraq where he made certain the Oil Ministry was guarded but museums looted, borders left wide open so they could be surrounded by Saudi financed fanatics from all over the Middle East and a mountain of highly dangerous explosives was allowed to be stolen and used to kill our troops. Two……You have young people who are often impoverished by the class war of the Neocons and see no way out but the military. Outsourcing, plant closings, layoffs by BushCo (a division of ChinaMart) corporate partners who plan on flooding the U.S. with millions of Mexican ‘workers’ to insure that the minimum wage remains below the swelling poverty level. Bushco’s other intent is to foment a division between Blacks, Hispanics and disenfranchised Caucasians, thus making them easier to control (this same philosophy works for them in prisons) Next time a Neocon suggests himself more ‘American’, more ‘patriotic’, more ‘Christian’ than others you need to kick his teeth out of his face like Chiclets. Democrats are endorsing and working hard encouraging everyone to vote. Republicans are trying to suppress it. What else do you need to know? |
