Fabrication I have taken pieces of you and seemed you into my knowing. The first square pale in color, neutral to become the center of a friendship quilted with love. I unfold you everyday, pages of my sunshine and shadow, embroidered stories, interwoven colors, uniquely ours. The more the patterns change, the more they stay the same and the simple pleasures of a patchwork life touches me... each memory, stitch-reflected. I have only just begun adding the pieces, laid out soon to be of many colors and sizes held together with a common thread, linking us forever. A Crazy Quilt? Perhaps... reminders of joy and sorrow, each one a conversation of thoughts, bits of cotton, scraps, my calicos of you. Disciplined and yet not... but always filled with emotion never knowing how it will turn out with a thimble on finger, thread lip-kissed, the winter takes on a new meaning as I become occupied in the fusings. A diary of words and thoughts and feelings spread out with touches of blue for memories of happiness to be seen each day, as the sun touches it's warmth upon it... and to be felt each night delivering me to you, to be tucked in and under your comfort. M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." (Will Moss) [This message has been edited by nakdthoughts (11-27-2002 11:00 AM).] |
