Haves look across the room...
to the have-nots

Have-nots look across the room...
to the haves...

All is reflexive here...
Cuz there's no "happen" in happenstance...
It don't matter if the sun rises in the east
Why does the sun wish to look askance...

And I sit atop this mountain in the dead of winter
Where all dignity is beleaguered
Can you lend me just one reaffirmation
I swear I can spell everything back
In incantation...

You make another retrenchment
Bury the present tense to hide your complexion
You stick the gobstopper under your tongue
Just you wait and see how long you can harangue...

But I hear the wraith through your corduroy
Boy, you should have seen the look on your face, oh, so terrified
Mr. Plenipotentiary, how ironic you can't think of a better envoy
I suppose you'll be working late, so I'll turn on your light...

Enough about me, let's talk about you
Enough about you, let's talk about the weather
You know I could be your Pilate
I can save you, you know
I will not decanter you anymore
If you just let me aver...

And why waste your breath
On words like bouleversement?
Even a blind man can see well behind him
Even an idiot doesn't have to be convinced to believe it
And why waste your time
Taking your time to yield
What is the worst thing that can happen?
What more is there to wield?

So for God's sake stand up
For Gods Sake, STAND UP!!!

The only taboo is in tabooing you...

If I whisper, will you listen?...
I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound
