'Til It's For "Real" ... a message

You hold me helpless in the grasp of your words
Whenever your voice, I do hear.
I hold every thought, that you speak, in my mind
Every moment we share, very dear.

When you leave me each evening, for dreams of the night
The thoughts in my mind, that I feel
Leave me wondering, without your touch,
Is this love, is this really "real"?

The time that we spend together, I love
And I know of the words which you speak.
And the love that I feel, that is coming from you
Thrills my heart, from within, makes me weak.

I only know, that with each passing day
You mean more and more to me, too.
But with distance and needing to know of you more
Leaves me frightened a bit, not of you.

But a fear of unknowing, a fear 'til we meet
That buries my words that I feel.
I'm saving them when I am sure, with my heart
That when I say those three words, it's for "real."

sometimes, the wait is better than the actual
ization of all the longing, wondering, romanticizing the online persona.........

but when it clicks, its MAGIC!!!!!!!!!!

sounds like there is a lucky reader out there! Yes, it's better to wait...sometimes those three words turn out to be "Oh, my God!!!"

You are all very sweet in your responses...but actually I wrote this "for a reader" who requested I write a poem for her, for HER internet friend *s

I've gone that route before, and it's not for me *s

I wasn't in the mood to write my own experiences today.I am gearing up for my 35th class reunion a few hours from now, wondering what I will find there, and hoping it leaves me with a poem in the works...
