the ass-end of space

Kingdoms of people and places frozen
Jailed in bound pages on glossy paper
or crucified on walls in stylish frames
What arrogance to claim these seconds
we've stolen from time as our own
Upon these captured memories you look
as years fade with each setting sun
A glance in the mirror confirms
what moments we may steal,
time takes back a thousandfold
