you flip those pages
of the dictionary
in uncontrolled excitement,
hands slightly shaking,

forgetting that
she may have felt
like a new toy

And how does Barbie feel?
LOL, I may not have understood the intent, but I'm glad to see your name in here again. Welcome back home.

Hi Kacy and Noah,
thanks for the welcoming back..it's always nice to be remembered...

i guess what i wanted to say in this piece is that in my eagerness to put my recently-acquired mediocre signing skills to the test, i had neglected that i might be sending off signals that i wasn't as interested in her friendship as i was interested in the fact that she could sign..that i was treating her like a newly-acquired toy...

so that didn't quite get through huh? i wonder if things will be clearer if i edit "your Barbie" to "a new toy"?

thanks for reading anyway!

That's what I thought. It was a tiny bit fuzzy, but maybe just in my mind. Toy does seem to make it a bit clearer to us dumb older Barbies. LOL, keep those fingers moving, even first level signing skills and a warm hug will convey your true intent.
Have a great day!
