you flip those pages of the dictionary in uncontrolled excitement, hands slightly shaking, forgetting that she may have felt like a new toy [This message has been edited by kaile (11-22-2002 10:20 PM).] |

And how does Barbie feel? LOL, I may not have understood the intent, but I'm glad to see your name in here again. Welcome back home. |

Hi Kacy and Noah, thanks for the welcoming back..it's always nice to be remembered... i guess what i wanted to say in this piece is that in my eagerness to put my recently-acquired mediocre signing skills to the test, i had neglected that i might be sending off signals that i wasn't as interested in her friendship as i was interested in the fact that she could sign..that i was treating her like a newly-acquired toy... so that didn't quite get through huh? i wonder if things will be clearer if i edit "your Barbie" to "a new toy"? thanks for reading anyway! |

That's what I thought. It was a tiny bit fuzzy, but maybe just in my mind. Toy does seem to make it a bit clearer to us dumb older Barbies. LOL, keep those fingers moving, even first level signing skills and a warm hug will convey your true intent. Have a great day! [This message has been edited by Midnitesun (11-23-2002 10:26 AM).] |
