Our Song Is Over

Unlikely surrounds another sundown's sunrise
With an empty chance of hope seen through my eyes
Our song is over before it ever got to play
Certainty vanished when the stars took hold
Waiting here for something is growing old
And, somehow, I'm caught in tomorrow's escape...

For, it was never mine to really claim
I believed in sacred when you welcomed the change
I'm just on the edge of falling apart
Our song is over in the arms of long gone
I bet it would have been a pretty song
But, I'm left here with hesitation at heart...

Something I never dreamed you ever do
Just where was the path that I lost you
I'm here still in your shadow alone
A fall far from grace I lost my place
Yet, time and time again I find your face
The leap to scared hits me harder then stones...

Faith went right by and forgot to touch me
Fate stole the sanity I once believed
Agony haunts a world gone bad
Our song is over and never was heard
Would've given anything to listen to just one word
Could've been the lyrics of my life I never had...

Laughter tarnished right along with these tears
The days plague my most propounding fears
I'm proof of what the rain surely brings
Perhaps a melody you'll someday find
A tune you'll create to make all mine
For, our song is over before we even got to sing...

(big hugggssssss) I can sense such sadness in your words, sweet friend, I hope this doesn't relate to the now and if it does know He has a plan for us all for He conducts the grandest symphonies of life and you will find that soprano song of joy sung from deep inside you shared in accord with a true love! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Saunni, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

This was a very sad and heartfelt write filled with longing, loss, love and regret.  If true to life then give yourself time, lots of time.  Hugs to you my friend, very nicely penned.

first a note to Noah...very nicely worded, you are a love

Saunni,

If this is a current situation at least know this. You have a great gift for writing poetry and expressing feelings quite well. This and the last poem of yours are sad but, part of life. Thank you for sharing. They are so well done.

Again, don't know if you are just creating (as I often do) but most likely these are your feelings...
and writing is one the most theraputic ways to heal, as is time.

Giving you big hugs,
Warmly,
Pat

Noah,
I thought it was an alto voice?

Saundra,
Bless you dear girl. I hope all is well. It seems much sorrow has touched your life and I wish you joy.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

It is time for a new song to begin, for songs never end, just the singers.

Thank you.

He was singing offkey anyway I think it sounds like time to find a new partner for that perfect duet and awaken the whole world with your harmony
