This was written for my two grand daughters
Morgan & Bailey ages 7 & 10

Sisters

Going through life together each day
Growing up together as you play
Learning to love each other more and more each day
Kneeling together as you pray

Sometimes you get mad and fight
Knowing that it's not right
Always saying you’re sorry to each other
Taught to you by your father and mother

Building a bond between you forever
A bond of love built by sisters together
You shared so much through the years
All your hugs fights and tears

You shared your laughter joy and pain
You even shared time together playing in the rain
As you grow up and go your separate way
You promise to stay in touch each day

Together you laughed and cried
Together you always tried
To be the best you could be to each other
Like you were taught by your father and mother

Sisters you will always be
Sisters forever Morgan and Bailey

Love Gramps

Morgan and Bailey are fortunate to have each other---and they are both fortunate to have a loving grandfather such as yourself!

What a wonderful keepsake for each of them and reminder of your love.

Ethel~ You hit the nail on the head. They are the apple of my eye, and I love to spoil them but their parents make sure that they keep my spoiling in control as much as they can. HA HA. Thanks for the sweet reply...Paul

Paul, this is an exceptional piece of poetry, and a beautiful testament to your granddaughters, as well as their parents.

The insight on how and when the poem came to you is breathtakingly refreshing.  I am glad you stole away when the inspiration hit.

Would love to have an update on your granddaughters if you could.

Michael
