Mauna Kea

sharp wind and snowfall
etched name on ancient mountain
light archs-cut angles

mists circle summit
chilled lava rock formations
Pele vacations

night falls mistily
artistic rain brushed dreamscape
Mauna Kea sleeps

Poetry is:
Passion, imagination and intellect running together.

Aloha with warmest regards, Cheryl Stewart Koomoa

lovely poetry you have here.

Love is patient, indeed. It endures the distance when it seems we cannot endure it ourselves.

Mauna Kea is full of snow at this time...Hilo Bay gets to view it
I have been to the summit and it is bitingly cold winds

Meanwhile mauna loa is getting ready to erupt again and could wipe Hilo out
They are getting prepared for it because last time it only took 4 hours to come within 3miles of Hilo.

I adore the "Big Island" That is where my step children live and my grandchildren.

Oahu only has political corruption, traffic jams and tourists to contend with..LOL
I'd take Hilo anyday if I didn't need to be near hospitals..hehe

Thanks to all of you for your replies
