 (big hugggsssssss) Oh Lyra, my heart goes out to you, sweet friend, I know how you feel because as a little boy I suffered nightmares EVERY night, and worried if I fell asleep I would be dead so I tried to stay awake and suffered long insomnia! (sad sigh) I hope now these nightmares are all gone and now you dream of love and beautiful things, sweet friend, I send angel hugs of strength your way, God Bless You, we all love you so much! you do know that you type in whisper to me, lady? "sleeeeeep..." they say. "SLEEP?" I RAGE. "I'VE BEEN SLEEPING ALL MY LIFE." "sleeeeeep..." through tide arms open wide and drown you in the ocean's swoon. "sleeeeeep..." through sigh of aching sides of home that breathes through the monsoon... love you Lyra... you? make me feel strong. |

Karilea... its much too early to go to bed anyway... Besides... I did survive it... I didn't get any sleep but at least I survived!!!!! Noah... thanks so much for your reply and your angel hugs... I do have many nightmares... but I usually don't remember them for very long... but when I do and they wake me up like this, I always feel stronger for having survived  ~ hugs from the dreaming chipmunkLyra |

Thanks so much for your very kind words, Paul. Yes this is the nightmare that I am living, but it also keeps me awake at night and I know that I would probably be healthier if I got more sleep... Thanks Ed... I don't sleep much anymore because I'm afraid I'll miss something!!! And when I finally do get some sleep, a nightmare usually wakes me up... so here I am sitting at my computer at 1 AM while my husband snores across the room in his chair... Lyra, you described the nightmare very vivdly. Now, I've got to go read another poem before I go to bed. HaHa!! Seriously, I pray that you will be able to get some rest. Gary asks me every night when he calls me if I'm getting enough rest. He knows that I stay up late hours on my computer, too. You know what I just thought of....when Gary and I do get married and are together, I'm going to have to break this habit of staying up so late on the computer. (I've got a feeling that it won't be a hard habit to break when he's with me all the time, though !!Ha!Ha!) "Love makes the world go around" |

I lived in a haunted residence and I swear that all the years I lived there while in nursing school, I never slept a full night! I had horrific nightmares just as you described! The stories I could tell you of that place! I am an intuitive, so you can imagine what it was like for someone like me! Great poem! Sorry you have had such horrible nightmares!
