Heated stones beneath the ash,
as love stretches the night feel into
embers of sensual glow.

Tender traces as flickering flames dance
into the eve of the dance.

Softly, softer than the touch of snow
upon a warm brow, as a feather
trails into goose flesh.

The clink of crystal, sparkling the
ceiling of mirrored reflect.  Lightly
sipping the nectar of the rose.

Outside, the howl of a moon from
primitive snarls, the yip of the young
as breath dances the tongue of
Alpha and Omega....

Smiling, two entwined in a lover’s
ball, knowing the last carriage
patiently awaits...

As winter falls softly and
moonbeams reflect the
eyes of wolves...

A most important ball
that two should traipse among
crystal snowflakes
in the onslaught of winter's dance

Thanks for sharing this lovely write, Barry...
Winter is falling softly already...
It was 23 degrees here last night and my son who was in Buffalo, NY for a wedding... said that they had a snowstorm

Ohhh, wonderful images, and a bit of a chill at the end?  Enjoyed!

(sigh) Sooooooooo romantic, sweet friend, I just love the gorgeous romance your words conjure, I dream so much of riding in a sleigh with my Joanna and we laugh like children and happily kiss softly with snowflakes kissing our cheeks! (big hugggssssss) This is lovely, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Barry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
