Billy Bob and Jimmy Ray,
...were working on a truck,
Trying to get it started,
...without a lick of luck.
Hot wirin', misfirin',
...profanities aflyin',
The boys were getting nowhere fast,
...the truck it kept a dyin',
Said Billy Bob to Jimmy Ray,
...next time we need a ride,
Why don't we steal somebody's truck,
...that has the keys inside?
Said Jimmy Ray to Billy Bob,
...that sounds all right to me,
I just have one question though,
...what the heck's a key?
It was hot, the boys were tired,
...they'd find a spot of shade,
Before they took off back to town,
...beneath a tree they laid.
They started talkin' politiks,
...about that there Osama,
Said Billy Bob to Jimmy Ray,
...he's as ugly as your momma.
Said Jimmy Ray to Billy Bob,
...while Billy Bob hee-hawed,
Don't be talkin' about by momma,
...or I'll show you Jihad.
Billy Bob said he was sorry,
...they'd best be gettin' back,
Said let's take a shortcut,
...along the railroad track.
The boys were crossin' Wilson's creek,
...across the trestled bridge,
When the southbound freight came roarin',
...down off of Lone Tree ridge.
Said Jimmy Ray to Billy Bob,
...just before they died,
If we're buried in one casket,
...I hope it's a double-wide.

Tim, now do you really think us little ole Southerners really think this way?!? HeeHee!!
It's certainly all right if you do, though, because you wrote a delightful poem about it, anyway.

But, not all of us Southerners are "red necks"....not that there's anything at all wrong with "rednecks", either.

I'm just kidding, Tim, though it does sound like something Jeff Foxworthy would write.(and, that is a compliment, by the way) Thanks for sharing your humor with us. I enjoyed it.

ROFL Oh, Tim, I wish I had your creative mind even if just for one hour! What an experience that would be!
