Just what IS the price of gas today? Too high, I say. Think I'll go and buy a good horse. Just what is the price of hay? Is it high enough to make a war go away? |

Yes..one of the true questions of life..."just what is the price of gas?"...Has anyone ever definitively answered the question without double-talking around the issue??...Hey (hay) the horse may make a comeback yet!! ...believe what your heart feels... |

I think thats a great idea, Kacy... or how about bicycles... pedal power!!! Its too bad that we have a cowboy in the white house who just wants to play with his war toys... He reminds me of a little kid... like when my kids were about 6 yrs old and they played GI Joe... and my cousins played Roy Rogers and Gene Autrey and other cowboy and Indian games We need lots more thought before we get involved in a war which could kill so many ~ thanks for posting this Lyra |

Thanks for reading and commenting Scorpio. Double talk, yes...much of it is being pumped down our throats. Lyra, I am not a very good biker, sad to say, never could get those uphill gears quite right. I remember many old cowboy shows, I really loved Hopalong. Wish I could say the same about this cowboy, who just gives me gas. |

Hmmm...don't know that my backside is ready to give up nice comfortable car seats, air conditioning, freedom from bugs, etc (thought some smells still suffuse the air once in awhile...Haw haw...), and I'd much rather pick-up (after) my car than a horse, but, but... Hey!...IT'S A NEAT IDEA...ANYWAY! JWESLEY |

Thanks, majnu. JW, but horse manure is bio degradable and enriches the environment. Smiling here, thanks for reading. |

(big hugggssssss) Oh Kacy, I too got the same thoughts as Lyra reading this, George W. Bush reminds me of a little boy still playing with his toys and failing to realize that war is a very ugly reality and can result in so many losses and anyone can reason love is thicker than any oil! (sigh) I too hope this whole plan gets reviewed eloquently and timely before we do anything, there has to be a more benign way around all of this, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

A horse, Kacy? I don't know. Maybe one of those two-headed Llamas. Good to see you're still at it, Jiminy. |

Brava! And Dunc..I always wanted a llama..a lady llama so I could name her Dolly...my how I digress. but oh midnite this is reminiscent of coffeehouses and the passion of the sixties. Would that we had a little of that now. I sure hope it wasn't just something in the kool-aid! [This message has been edited by serenity blaze (11-13-2002 08:23 PM).] |

Duncan, hey to you too, glad to see you back onboard. And Jiminy is always up for a night song. Karen, LOL, you can have my old llama. No, I'm not drinkin that 'lectric koolaid either. I'm just disgusted with politicians, and lying oilmen make me gag. Connel, thanks for reading and commenting. I have a few more of these, but only post the mellower ones here. |

lol - "too high" was my first though and your second thought... go figure. i do like, however, how you slipped in a deeper meaning into a theoretically whimsical query. |

right now it's at about 71.9/litre. pretty sad. this is all too true. i prefer to take it literally today. i'm quite frustrated and hoping that my quarter tank will carry me through to lower prices. :: sigh :: oh one can hope. heh. /jen/ i'm so bitterly disappointed. betty, i think it's time you leave now. This is really a GREAT poem! I love the way you injected humor into such a deep subject..and with such a short format! I totally agree that the price of gas today is WAY too high..not just in dollars but also in what it is doing to our planet. I don't know about the horse though...maybe I could handle it if it where attached to a buggy? Yeah..that's it...one with nice cushiony seats...oh yeah..and maybe a battery powered heater? |

Passing shadows, thank you for reading and commenting. I was surprised to see this again, thought maybe it had a gas bubble attack. |
