To Die In a Dream She came to me again last night; I was asleep. She lay down beside me in front of the fireplace. The flames flickering high in November's chill Played tiger stripes across her breasts; My Bengali Tigress - even with eyes closed I saw her. She bent over me in embrace, Her jet hair falling all about my head. It smelled like jasmine - always jasmine, As if she too were carried to me on a soft breeze. She took me high to mountainous heights; We bathed in the very streams that feed the Ganga, And loved on the jewels that sit atop Gaia's crown. Plunging to the Sea together our river of passion rampant ran, And even as we approached the final waterfall, Ere the Sea, I awoke to my bed of rumpled sheets; Looking about in the darkness, I almost heard a faint laugh; The water finally plunged forth, and I wept. -majnu |

I always thought that if you died in a dream that youwould die here... Have you noticed that no one ever dies in there dream,? i mean they might, but then they die here.. But we always wake up before we die. Ever noticed? I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait. |
