Who knew? I breathe in deep and remind myself of how your perfume smelled as you walked out for the last time Who knew you would not return Oh how I yearn for those moments we held each other and I became lost in your stare as I ran my fingers in your hair I didn’t get a chance to tell you how I truly feel only a last whiff of the air as you passed so near You were late to work and promised me a kiss upon your return Who knew the rain would bring me such pain as it did the day you lost control on the road how was I to know that it would be my last chance for a goodbye that day that was my last to scent the sweet smell that you wore one drop spread across your neck it was heaven sent Who knew that was my last romance with you? I hope one day to be lost again in your stare until then I must let you go or become insane as I keep repeating your name |

What an absolutely heart-wrenching poem this was and I hope this is not from personal experience, and if it is I am sorry for your loss. If it is not, you speak for so many that never got to say goodbye and that in itself is a loss to deal with. In either case, extremely well done, and I enjoyed it very much. |

A linger fragrance....haunting adrift in the memory...we must never forget the unpredictibility of life...say the things that matter to our beloved while the chance exists.. ...believe what your heart feels... |
