There’s a spirit crushing mine, stealing time I try to find. Taking breath I need to live, wanting more the more I give. The shadow follows everywhere, I’m not alone, it sees me there. It hides behind a lovers face, till once again my soul it tastes. It haunts the darkness in my dreams, says come to me in whispered screams. Lies behind a smiling mask, the death of me its hidden task. It knows not it’s devouring me, my spirit lost, to its own greed. Slowly dying, killing dreams, shows me what true darkness means. My spirit fades into the night, lost till one can bring new light. Julie [This message has been edited by smitty-j (11-11-2002 09:35 AM).] |
