Sometimes things touch me
why I don't know
like when my husband told me
he was out catching snow.
While on the job last night
small flakes, they did fall
he stepped out of the guard house
to catch them is all.
As he related the story
he reached out his hand
and I could just picture
this big strong man
late at night all alone
catching snowflakes for fun
the little boy inside
unseen by anyone
doing something childish
with a twinkle in his eye
out catching snowflakes
underneath the night sky.

Anne, I love this poem. It is so sweet. You know, I believe that all of us have a "little child" part....we just don't show it to everybody. Thanks for sharing this. I enjoyed it.

(smiles) Awwwwwwww, this is soooooo beautiful, sweet friend, I too love catching snowflakes on my tongue, I think it is a wonderful feeling to hold the spirit of a boy or girl in ones heart always, this is beautiful, I love it, God Bless You Both, we all love you so much!
