Standing upon a shore, gazing, the taste of salt upon my lips. From tears, or perhaps from the brine of blue? Sounds of distant bells, bells of the sea, the sailor...two bells, or was it four? Alas, but at times the waves mask the sound, a sound so very captivating to one who has rode the sea, countless waves that have gently pushed against a ship’s bow, nudging one in reminder of where nature is and which the boss, calling the cards.. Remembering the rush of air escaping from the vents, the plume of spray, miniature rainbows heralding the departure into the deep, the silent deep...where calm pervades and invades... O but to ride the blue of wave, the depths of a savage ocean once again...just once more. To walk the steel hull of doom and enter the world of what was once the life of me...my destiny. Sadly, standing on that shore, looking into the darkness, seeing the lights....red to port, green to starboard....red on right returning....red is stop, green is go....all those times seeing those lights...some huge, some small....all so fascinating.. So intriguing to a sailor... Into the depths of sea I go Into the briny deep so blue Into the heart of sailors though my heart remains with you... Living at the sea, I know these feelings well and you've done such a wonderful job of expressing them. Wanna go shrimping with me tomorrow? The stars will shine when I am gone, |

Magnus darling heart I saw this earlier and of course read it right there and then, but waited till it slipped a bit so I could do ‘Bev de Bump’s’ job and give it the bump it so richly deserves. There are those who may read and not be stunned by the talent and the amazing fluidity of this wonderful poem of your soul, but I cannot imagine whom they may be. When I read this I was initially shocked, or more precisely astounded, I knew that your writing was beautiful, but this is truly outstanding. The way you have written this fills me with real awe, the beauty the essence of the spirit is perfectly displayed and only a writer of your calibre could have achieved this wonder. You know I love this utterly utterly utterly and YOU darling heart are a writer of really beautiful lines of truth, this is superbly done Love and warm stuff As always Mushy Breathe through the heat of our desire |

Barry "O but to ride the blue of wave, the depths of a savage ocean once again...just once more." It seems you do just that, your memory so clear with the haunting that you took me there. Wonderful write! |
