Turtle like I would draw the foreskin around me but it long ago joined youth, useless, torn in the wind to elope with the river. Pummeled by the clock. Vibrant college choir winnow my senses to just hearing, close off the chapel's stain glass hypnosis, drown the urge to confess. Aboriginal overtones, Mongolian Hoomei and tantric Tibetan harmonies deliquesence christian guilt. Tranced hands blossom on the oak pews and finally release what was tightly held, that which long ago freed itself. Radix malorum est cupiditas leaving truth anachronous yet stepping back from perdition. . . . . . . deliquesence- The act of melting away, becoming liquid by absorbing moisture from the air as certain salts. Radix malorum est cupiditas (Lat) covetness is the root of evil anachronous- misplaced in time perdition- a state of final spiritual ruin. |

You continue to blow my mind. Not at all what I expected from the title (and I LOVE when that happens--surprise me, I say) That opening line is fabulous, and this m'friend is richly layered. <--no pun intended Richard. ![]() |

Any words that I could use in my reply, would pale in comparison to the ones woven through this fine piece---and which was most obviously written by a master!---YOU! EA |

This was certainly an intense poem and this truly grabbed me and held me... "Tranced hands blossom on the oak pews and finally release what was tightly held, that which long ago freed itself." Just a fantastic piece of poetry Richard. Dieu de mai soit avec vous. |

A very unique approach to the changing spirituality of a person, uninspired by the traditional "close off the chapel's stain glass hypnosis," ( wonderful line) and delving into other religions..................... In the end the result is naught, or we just believe what we believe. Your writing is extrordinary. Thank you for sharing Liz |

Richard You go so deep, in thought and words with a talent that pulls a punch each time with truth of feeling and daring delivery. |
